Hi, my name is Andrea, I'm 21 and live in Adelaide, South Australia. I'd like to show you the styles I admire and aspire to.

(These are all pictures I had on my computer, so they don't necessarily show everything I love but I guess they give a fair idea. There are a lot of pictures but I tried to keep them fairly small because I know how it feels to have a slow connection)

My personal taste in style fluctuates between the glamour of classic Hollywood:



The simplicity of day to day wear of the 1940s in particular (but also the 1930s and 1950s):



And the exaggerated take on the 1950s in movies like Grease and Cry Baby:

I would love to dress the way those women did, everyday of my life and one day I hope to be able to achieve it. But if I don't I always have my old movies to look at.

Although I don't think it has as much power as the album version, the studio version of One Hundred Years (on the bonus disc) has a really great guitar solo at the end. I was just listening to it and decided I like it a lot...it's really intensely expressive.

I also love the Flexipop version of "Lament" from Join the Dots. What non-album versions do you guys like?

glad i ride my bike whenever possible.

Im thinking (pipe dream) of getting a horse to ride around town as a form of protest. maybe even get a buggy too, (it works for the amish) cos then winter wouldn't be a problem, i could park the horse in the garage and use it like a stable, Im sure there are laws against it but who knows, i will have to look around.

This makes the 5.30 a pack for cigarettes seems down right affordable.

So What is everyone doing to deal with the huge increase in gas prices?

So...here's what really gets me:

The editors on my school news paper. They are always SO PUSHY!! It's like this though: in my town you've gotta have some [okay a lot!] of money to get anywhere.  To get special treatment, not be able to take a test on that day, etc.  So these editors, their families are pretty well-known.  The thing is, they are the editors and i am just a staff writter.  yet my article is going to be the biggest one in thew hole thing.  everybody else is writing about Senior's graduating, fun things to do in the summer.

Mine actually has an issue:
Banned Books.

So, you know...i'm sick of them going in there and changing everything so that it doesn't even sound like I WROTE IT!! God damn it!! 

Fuck them.

And i think i'm getting the flu.

I hate how the first drama/bullshit-free year of school i've had since 5th grade has deteriorated into bullshit and drama. AT THE FUCKING END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
I hate how I overheard these kids talking about me, and I get all upset and offended about it, even though I shouldn't care, usually don't care when people talk about me behind my back and usually i'm an advocate for the "don't give a fuck what other people think of you" philosophy. Why in the world this hurts me now is totally beyond me.......
I hate this kid at my school. He was new to the whole entire city, not just my school, I saw him at the park when he just moved, talked to him a little bit, introduced myself, I was one of the first kids he ever met in this city. Today at school he started talking shit to me when I walked up to him just to say "hi" and talked about kicking my ass and told me to get the fuck outta his face. I didn't even do anything to him, I was just being nice.
I hate how there's millions of other people who I was nice to and then they started treating me like dog shit for no reason.
I hate how i'm letting myself get upset over these little things that I taught myself not to care about a long time ago.

I hate how the way this school year is turning out for me after it was going so good is practically the story of my life......
